For the lost and found workshop I recreated a rug that used to hand in my dad’s home as a child. My grandpa told him and his brother it was a magic carpet and the password to make it fly had been lost; they would sit there for hours trying to guess what it was.
For the traces workshop I was looking at the GSA archives, specifically Margaret Macdonald’s hair and vintage photos. I was inspired by Victorian hair jewelry and how hair relates to identity so created broaches with my hair I shaved off.
