In this project I want to focus attention on how women play a secondary role compared to the man and I want to do it by representing the sacred place where people consolidate the fact of being a family, around the dining table. The politics and the dynamics that can be created at the dining table have provided me with both material and inspiration for the development of this project. Just think about the misogynist stereotype of the woman who takes care of the house and the family; this concept of mother and wife, within which patriarchy imprisons women, was widespread in the past and persists to this days.
