The brief for the International Foundation program was to create a ‘kit’ of sorts to contextualize the Anthropocene. In my response to this, I was particularly interested in how our relationship with nature makes us human and how our departure from it feeds into our modern landscape of the Anthropocene. Starting with prehistoric man and then looking into how that transformed into the colonial era and finally into the world as we know it today, with my work I hope to narrate and highlight just how far we have come as humans and the impact we have.
