Poppie Wood. SEA Y1 – Colab 1.

Material as collaborator.

My take on this project was to collect all of my materials from the streets that surround me daily. To use rubbish, litter-ally, as a creative collaborator, to work together for a greater good. Focusing mainly on the collection of plastic waste as globally 79% of plastic waste is sent to landfills or the ocean, only 9% is recycled and 12% gets incinerated. Non-recyclable plastics should not be reproduced. There are many ways in which we can creatively undo the plastic dumping grounds from our precious oceans and soils without causing harm to developing countries and the people within them.
