During this project I have encountered many questions from where do the materials come from to where do the materials end up for a building. These formed from my previous research on buildings such as Rogers house to the Gers in Mongolia. I also read into “why study vernacular architecture” which made me think, ‘is there a way to design fro multipurpose, reuse, recycle and redesign. This piece of writing talked about the selection of buildings to keep and to knock down. In the essay I examined the sustainability of ways to build as there ends up a lot of waste and the demand for new materials to replace ones that have been demolished.
