In our Habitat, the city, humans are the overwhelming majority. To observe them (us) as a whole is perhaps too generalising, but to focus on one particular person gives a unique perspective on how we all live—how similar or different one person can be. In our project, we have observed individuals using two differing methods: drawing and text. We started the project by doing this alongside one another, with one person drawing and the other writing what they see; from the clothing of an individual to what they have on their café table. After initial observation, we participate in more active collaboration. Taking the text already written, we break this up into less factual accounts of the original observations in order to illustrate a more abstract interpretation.
