The area of responsible design which I felt was important to me was the issues of circular economy. Circular economy is the movement of rethinking our choices around material usage and trying to eliminate our wasteful approach to its disposal. Through this, I looked into the stigma revolving around second hand clothing and how this issue has originated. Through material exploration and experimenting, I created a proposal for an environmentally friendly chandelier made from reused materials. This would contribute to ending the bad reputation around second hand and how much of a positive impact reusing has on our environmental footprint.
