Siriyakorn Duangprawat Link The True Cost of Fast Fashion

MEDIA: Fast Fashion

For this project, I was inspired by our current situation, with the United Nations climate change conference taking place in Glasgow this year I approached this task wanting to address how fast fashion is destroying us and the environment we live in. I think that it’s in our human nature to have the need to fit in and keep up with trends. But fast fashion is constantly changing. The idea of missing out on the trends may trigger anxiety, affect our self-esteem and create an unnecessary sense of demand. When you fill your closet with garments of poor quality and value, it can instill a sense of regretful and bad self-reflection on you as you begin to equate your preference for quantity over quality as a reflection of who you are.
