The theme for my project was plastic waste and its impact on our Anthropocene. Using a seagull as the main focus, my project encourages the player to confront how their own negligence can effect wildlife. Dissecting a bird to remove plastic waste is a practice used to see how much is being consumed by sea birds as they often confuse the brightly coloured pieces for food. Since taking responsibility is an important part of being human, I wanted the player to remove the plastic debris piece by piece, emphasizing to them the grim and upsetting reality of our current situation.
