We have created a satirical ‘children’s storybook’ conceptually written for children that will not be born as people are becoming less likely to have children, fearing the impacts of climate change on a child’s life.
The tonality of the narrative and illustrations is bright and should evoke a sense of nostalgia of stories from our own childhood. This is contrasted by the storyline itself and the monochromatic photography of our own observations of ways humans are impacting our surroundings.
It aims to criticise those with a duty of care who are taking no positive action within the Anthropocene.
