Fast Fashion and a greedy society are the reasons we need change. After seeing many fast fashion brands grow such as ‘Shein’ and ‘PrettyLittleThing’, it is devastating to watch statistics rise as money and waste overflow landfills every year. These fast-growing numbers show how negatively we, as humans, treat the planet. I decided to base my theme around ‘slow Fashion’ and ‘Quality over Quantity’ to produce sustainable fabrics made from waste materials. Through this process, it was intriguing to visualize the damaging materials as a positive on the environment by creating a new life and purpose.
