This project is not about death in the literal sense. What I am trying to allude to is a sort of metaphorical death. The type you experience when you are betrayed by someone you love.

Imagine the story of a relationship. Two people are in love. Then one betrays the other, maybe they cheat. One way you could look at this is to say. Okay that happen it’s sad, now the person must move on. However, this does not cover the scope of a true betrayal. You could also say that person dies. The person they thought they were – the one in a relationship, who was happy and planning their life with this person- is dead. Their only choice is to stay dead. Stay stuck at the bottom of the gorge of chaos. Or climb back up, learn from their past life and resurrect from the ashes of betrayal.

This work in process is my excavation of these ideas that are encased in our religious stories. The images are a representation of the fundamental nature of the exploratory human being and a glimpse into what it means to me to be HUMAN.
