In our group we realised that our current locations were spread across the central belt of Scotland, and our research began looking at our respective surroundings and documenting them on a walk. We started drawing on comparisons between our locations and we then discussed ideas around the theme of contrast, specifically between the more natural aspects of the landscape and the built environment. We then decided to investigate individual research in response to this shared brief of ‘Man vs Nature’.
