From looking at the private archive I got really inspired to look more into some of the makers behind the pieces. The different artists inspired me in ways of how different one vessel can be from another one.

I think researching archives is very relevant to being human, especially since we got to look at a private collection. Every piece in the collection is chosen by one individual and that makes the collection very special. Also I think it relates to being human in ways that we got to see lots of different peoples work that may be very personal for them and have a bigger meaning behind them.

I think the lectures and texts where interesting because they had very different ideas of what it means to be human. From reading and watching them I felt like my own view of what it means to be human had broadened which I think was good for my project.

I feel like the readings and lectures where very important for my studio work, mostly since it inspired me with ideas of a theme for my pieces – joy. The one that inspired me the most was the lecture about the perfumatic machines.
