Taking inspiration from Ibrahim Mahama, Kari Steinhaug and the collaborative project; Clothing the Loop, I decided to explore the throwaway society and ask the question – will fast fashion exceed the limits it already has? Through overdramatising the amount of clothes us humans use/have, I have chosen to convey how garments are dismissed and casted away. My response to this project sparks conversations about repurposing, abundance, and consumerism. Preloved garments can and should be transformed and recycled once disregarded.
