I really resonated most with the responsible design question is it ethical labour practices? I feel there is not enough being done to stop the exploitation of labour workers in garment factories. I wanted to investigate what governments are doing to solve this problem and what we as consumers need do to help. I gathered together lots of waste material and played about with them to see what I could create. I developed a ribbon structure as part of a garment to demonstrate how up-cycling and our waste can be repurposed into new items as a sustainable alternative to how the fast fashion culture operates at the moment.
