This portfolio essay will discuss the use of materials in vernacular, post-industrial, and post-digital architecture about the current climate crisis and designing in the Anthropocene. I will evaluate the sustainability, reusability, and recyclability of the materials used and come to a conclusion on which materials are suitable for building in the Anthropocene. Then I will reimagine the Futuro House with building materials and techniques sourced from effective buildings which I have researched previously creating a new building concept for a sustainable future.
